Getting into comics can seem difficult to the newcomer.  Here are some starting points.

The following is a list of first issues, one shots and stepping on points to be released in August 2014.  Schedules change and they may not all be released in August (or sometimes at all).  While first issues are more likely to be new reader friendly, that is not always the case and no guarantees are made.

THE COMIC CODE – Zero Issues: #0

Getting into comics can seem difficult to the newcomer.  Comic fans and companies have a jargon that is used all the time, even in comic book titles, that new fans may find confusing.  A “Comic Code.”

Zero Issues are an issue of a comic number #0 that usually acts a stepping on point and prequel or flashback story.  Unfortunately a #0 used for a number of different purposes:

1. A printing of lost material.
2. A promo book.
3. A reprinting of previous material.
4. The first issue of a series.
5. A prequel or flashback story.

UNIVERSES – The Image Universe
